Welcome back to my blog!

So another most frequently asked question “What the heck is this AIESEC”. “Why is it all over you”.

So AIESEC is basically one of the largest youth run organization which provides cross cultural internships and provides volunteer exchange experiences to students who apply anywhere in the world. Which means, you can go abroad to do internships through AIESEC and make an impact on your CV. That’s the simplest story of AIESEC.

What I do in AIESEC?

Aiesec has different portfolios or departments as you call it for Volunteers, Entrepreneurs, Talent Management program, finances, Marketing and many many more. I work as a member of Marketing portfolio (which is BCXP portfolio). AIESEC has a quarter of 4 months, after which students are reallocated in different portfolios depending on their skills and performances. Initially, I was a member of global Entrepreneurship in which I was to convince exchange participants to apply for Entrepreneurial program in any country of their choice all across the globe. However, in this quarter I am working in a marketing team and am currently dealing with social media of AIESEC and serving in event management activities.

Do you send students abroad for free?

No, we don’t send students for free but yeah we charge very little amount and cover their accommodations, food and city tours by our tour guides. Additionally, one person sticks to the exchange participant and help him get through his visa process. However,For Volunteering program, we charge pkr 12000 minus travelling expenses.

  1. For Entrepreneurship, we charge pkr 16000 minus travelling expenses.

  2. For Talent Management program we charge 16000 minus travelling expenses, which is an internship for post graduates

How to become a member of AIESEC?

Honestly, if there’s any organisation I always wanted to be a part of that’s AIESEC. And not even kidding it took me three years to get into AIESEC. Every year I applied, gave interviews, went through the tedious task of physical activities and got consecutively rejected thrice each year.

In 2018, AIESEC opened their pocket recruitment and I was chosen to be the best candidate for that year.

So what happens is every time AIESEC releases its recruitment application, you apply and follow up with each and every instruction they give. You appear for the activities they call you for and you give an interview. A complicated one, yeah. They probe you and if you have what it takes to be the AIESECer, then you’re in there. No hard rule, it’s that simple.

That’s about it I guess, hope all confusions are now cleared off.

Good day😊😊

Sharing some of my happy moments from AIESEC.🌞
