To establish a consistent skin care routine is one of the best things you can do for your skin. Continue reading to find out how skin care is as important to take care of as your diet.
DISCLAIMER: This blog is solely based on my experience of trying out different home remedies and are best suited on my oily skin. Effects may vary from to skin to skin so better off do a patch test in order to avoid allergy or skin irritation.

Okay look, it does not really take a dime to do a little efforts for skin that has certain aura to define your entire personality. So here are a few things that you consistently follow and boom!
THINGS THAT I NEVER EVER DARE TO LEAVE UNTIL FOREVER:
1.WAKE UP TO AT LEAST THREE GLASS OF WATER:
Okay so the tip of the finger rule: Whenever you wake up, at 6am or 12pm, drink at least 2 glass of water. You do know water is a natural purifier right? It flushes impurities and toxins out of the system keeping your face fresh and clean and thus aid in reducing the breakouts and acne. Why would you at once wake up to so much of water, you ask. When you wake up after a long sleep, your body is naturally dehydrated. No matter how much water you drank the day before, you have used up your stores and it’s time to refill the tank.
The first thing drinking water after waking up will do is provide your cells with much needed, life-giving water.
Okay let’s keep it this way, Compare this to the norm; drinking a 16 oz. cup of coffee, which will further dehydrate your already thirsty body. So you can well imagine the harm right?
2. WASH YOUR FACE TWICE/THRICE A DAY:
At least if one thing I NEVER forget to do is to wash my face with a good face wash. Also, my face wash varies. Sometimes it’s acne face wash while other times it’s just a random one, AND I get shameless at times to wash it off with a soap too lel.
Look soap does harm to your skin if you are not applying moisturizer or using toner afterwards. It leaves your skin rough, can cause irritation too if you have a sensitive skin. So try and avoid soap, while get a hold on a good face wash.
3. USE OF A TONER AFTER CLEANSING:
For as exaggerating as it may sound but I will forget eating but never toning my skin after washing it off because, GOOD SKIN BRO. It only needs a trigger to break out bad so I have to be a little more cautious. Just after cleaning make sure you tone it too because if there is any residue of a product left or even dirt has not been come out by the help of a face wash, skin toner will do its job.
And It will deep cleanse your face until your skin becomes dirt free leaving it all well cleansed and shiny.
HOW TO APPLY:
Wash your face first: Use whatever you have to cleanse your face. Gently massage the cleanser into your skin to pull off dirt and make up and impurities. Then rinse it off with warm water
Put toner on a cotton pad: Pour some toner on the pad until it feels damp but not overly soaked. You could also use a cotton ball for this step if it’s all you have on hand. However, cotton pads will soak up less product than cotton balls, which will help conserve your toner.
Lightly spread toner over your face and neck: Use the cotton pad to gently wipe the product over your face and neck. The toner will help remove the impurities that the cleanser couldn’t reach, as well as any cleanser residue or salt, chlorine, or chemicals found in tap water.
OCCASIONAL PRODUCTS THAT I APPLY ON MY SKIN:
Note: I have done a test patch prior to applying any product on my face as facial skin is the most sensitive and easy to cause harm to. However, whatever remedies I use is perfectly suitable for my skin type. I advise you to test patch before trying anything out.
FULLER’S EARTH (MULTANI MITTI): This one thing is suitable for literally all skin types. You don’t necessarily have to be the one with oily, dry or combination skin. Just the amount of time you apply, that matters.
Although it is so good for skin and is great at removing excess oil from face. But when used regularly it can leave your skin very dry as well. You might start breaking out if regularly used, so it is convenient to make a face mask which includes Multani Mitti plus water. Rather mix any liquid available to make it a paste and apply it all over your face.
Keep it for an hour then rinse it off. Again, soak your face with a clean piece of cloth. And wrap up the process by moisturizing it. If you don’t get instant glow on your face right after, come back questioning me.
BAKING SODA: So basically when I feel like my skin is getting rough and I feel mini bumps on my skin I use baking soda as a scrub and it legit pulls out the life of the existing dirt, pores or whatever it is called, leaving my skin all clear. SO A HEADS UP FOR BAKING SODA.
Again, do this scrubbing process twice a week as a lot of it can leave your skin irritated for no damn reason.
TURMERIC PASTE FACE PACK:
Turmeric powder mixed with water/milk/rose water. To be very honest, this was the first remedy that I started off with so to put it on third in the list is quite unfair. Anyway, what turmeric paste has done to me is that, I used to have tanned skin earlier because of the exposure of extreme sunlight which it made me look dull and lethargic and swarthy which I was not. (I had a fair complexion). Then after searching for ways to remove tan I found out this remedy, which believe me is EVERYWHERE on the internet. I am basically one of those witnesses who proves the crime. In this case, I am one of those people who tried the remedy, it worked and is now telling it to the rest of the world.
If you are a student like me, and you are lazy enough to follow NEITHER of the things mentioned above then at least do this Turmeric paste thing once in a week and you will not regret. I repeat, YOU WILL NOT REGRET.
NEEM POWDER FACE PACK:
Okay so this is something new and way too beneficial. Neem Face Pack is an amazing natural face mask and is hands down the ultimate acne killer for all skin types. BELIEVE ME ON THAT. I am the kind of a person who was left at the hands of destiny. Literally nothing from the drugstore or even Derma products NEVER deemed to be helpful on my skin. I had that stubborn acne. If I look back to my ugly acne prone skin, I would thank this pack a 100 times for saving my life.
HOW TO MAKE PASTE IN 3 VERY SIMPLE STEPS:
Pluck raw neem leaves, wash them properly because it has all bacteria on its surface in quite a good amount, and let it dry. (Takes almost 2 to 3 days to dry fully)
Once dried, now take raw Aloe Vera jel and grind the two to form paste like material.
Now apply the paste every night on your face by gently massaging it. Ensure that the jel like substance starts absorbing into your skin and see your acne dry out instantly in one to two days maximum.
It is believed since ages that Neem leaves performs anti bacterial activities on your skin. It instantly helps reduce redness and inflammation. Thus clears out your skin.
Conclusively, above mentioned material are MY personal experiences with the remedies. In short, my whole struggle written, to battle acne, in a succinct description. Try and implement all of them, if not at least follow one or two as make up products do come with alternatives and replacement but SKIN has no alternative. CHEERS!
